A mobile video for your friends, a weekly video diary for your fans, or a huge mobile video advertising campaign..
Scalable
Mobloom can be as big or as small as you need it to be. Whether you are only sending out one single video or doing a big campaign with millions of downloads, it is always affordable. The pricing is made up of two parts: optimisation and delivery. Optimisation costs £1 and is only payed once per video. Delivery is pay as you go. There is no need to invest in any infrastructure or get in touch with a sales team, you can get going straight away here on the website.
Optimisation
Optimisation is where Mobloom goes in and makes sure your video will look and sound good on all the different phones on the market without taking too long to download. When clicking the video download link, Mobloom automatically detects the mobile phone of the downloader and makes sure to serve a video perfectly optimised for it.
Delivery
Delivery is where the video is actually sent out to the users.
This is done using SMS text messages. The combination of different mobile phone types and different telco networks means that the number of messages sent to download a video cannot be predicted exactly. Each video sent out, will have either 2 or 3 messages: 1 instructional message and 1-2 link messages (a WAP-Push and an SMS with link).
Text messages sent within the UK cost 5p each, texts sent outside the UK cost 10p each. That gives you a total message cost of 10-15p within the UK and 20-30p outside the UK.
When a video is successfully downloaded we then take 17.5p to cover our costs. We don't take this fee for videos that don't get downloaded successfully, e.g. if a person gets the link message but chooses not to click on it or if the handset doesn't have a GPRS/3G data connection.
